In the first week of October the 4th grade students stayed together with their collegues from the NMS Gaweinstal on a language camp .
Of course, this was not a holiday. Staying at a host family in a foreign country, four lessons a day by a native speaker and shopping on their own made the participants speak and think in English.
But the really fascinating events were other highlights. Apart from the flight they enjoyed the Harry Potter film studios (Warner Bros), going to the beach, visits to Dover Castle, Windsor Castle, the Hastings pier and a full day in Canterbury including a cathedral tour and a boat ride. Unfortunately the only rainy and cold day was the London day. Walking from sight to sight was not possible but the Dungeon was great and the Tower Bridge opened to let a ship pass – just for Austrian school children.
